Yatsuji's brow still darkened he retreated into his kimono and dropped his chin a little. Clearly still indignant but not willing to counteract the skills of the Ide.
"I too, am sorry," he gave a curt bow.
"For the time being we should, in fact, focus on the three tasks ahead of our little cadre. What do we know about the demise of this Unicorn diplomat...Ide Kofu was it? From what little I've heard he was quite the man to get things settled between the Crane and Mantis. Do you think that you are up to the task Kinto-san?"

The lights burned low in the unseemly den. This was, of course, a matter of purposeful choice and the sort of expectations that visitors had about the place. At one end of the carpeted room was a fat man all arranged upon pillows with his kimono half open to show his rolls of flesh while he sucked on a long pipe of a pungent smokeable. Next to him were shadowy guards who stayed purposely in the shadows and watched most closely anyone who approached the casual throne of the fat man.
A much thinner man sat at a little table just across from the fat man and took small sips from his minuscule sake cup. He too had a guard, but his waited patiently just outside the room. Neither person wore any clan colors, but instead favored elegant and colorful kimono that marked them as upper class but of a more money oriented trade than one who carried swords.
"Mishi," began the fat man, "I trust all has been taken care of on your end?"
"Hai," replied the thinner, "you will receive payment for your efforts shortly. And your men will be replaced once everything has gone through. Incidentally i am sorry for their untimely demises."
"Oh, well they haven't died yet, have they? Besides, like you said, replaceable. By the way, what exactly did you put in that hold?"
"Oh, it wasn't exactly what I put in the hold, so much as it was where I put it. Somewhere just hard enough to find that in order to uncover it you'd have to be doing a very thorough inspection of the entire ship."
The two laughed jovially and then the fat one took another suck on his pipe while 'Mishi' took another shot of rice wine.

Hogato took one look at the contents of the box and slammed it shut.
"Fan out, men. We have to find Moshi Yoru and place that criminal under arrest. Get going, now!"
Hogato's underlings began filing past the assembled sailors and off of the ship. Hogato glared at said sailors and his left hand grabbed his katana authoritativley but his right remained at his side.
"Now, I understand that some things can get put on a ship without everybody's knowledge. So, if you don't want to find yourselves under the care of the city guard I suggest someone tell me exactly where your captain headed off to."
