"I am of the worldly order of the brotherhood, yes" Te answered. Looking around at the confusion starting in the square, his mind started creating paths to ideas that should not be possible. Glancing back down at the small framed woman he whispered, in a not so quiet rumble "are you in some sort of trouble little sister?" He then starts to carefully part the crowd for her.

As Kousei went through the door the servant had passed through just ahead of him, he looked around frantically. There was no sign of him. There was a young woman scrubbing the floor and Kousei rushed across to her.
"Have you seen another servant come through here? Short, wearing dark blue robes, black hair..." He realised that he could be describing half the heimen in the castle. The man he was pursuing was just kind of bland. The girl looked at him with big eyes, terrified, and shook her head.
"No Crane-sama! I have been looking at the floor while I scrubbed! This one is not worthy and apologises for her lack of awareness!"
Kousei's hands clenched into fists as he tried to keep his temper under control, and he grimaced at the girl. It was supposed to be a smile, but it didn't quite come out as he intended.
"No matter. It is not your fault. Carry on with your duties."
He debated at trying rooms at random, but the idea of bursting into a room containing the Shogun and the Emerald Champion was not appealing. He went down a couple of corridors, but the man he was trying to follow had disappeared. Still, Kousei had a feeling that he would surface again at the wedding ceremony.
Turning on his heel, he strode outside and sent a boy to Satomi, asking her to look across the courtyard. As she did so, she noticed Kousei standing there and he shook his head swiftly with a look of disappointment on his face. Then he moved off into the crowd, heading towards to ronin.

Satomi apologized to the Shosuro, Matsu, Ide and Asako personalities, after receiving a message from Kousei, and left for the courtyard. The magistrate and the guards were looking inside the castle already, and Kousei moved off from the castle, and into the crowd. Satomi was returning to gather more guards when a runner come to her:
Kaiu-sama... trying to catch his air, the young man spoke. Lady Nozomi is missing into the crowd!
Satomi did not panic, but her heart clenched for her young friend. After "Sakura's " mysterious destiny, the last thing she wished was to find Nozomi dead. The fact that she was an important piece of politics was very relevant as well, but Satomi moved mountains for her friends. A gunzo attended her call, and she issued:
FIND NOZOMI-SAN! Lift every stone and check every cart! Check everything and everyone! YOU WILL FIND HER!

In a given moment, chaos installed, and a fight between a group of ronin and a group of guards, in the middle of the road, caused panic in the peasant crowd and the courtiers arriving in litters and horses. The Crab cavalry, honoring the event, quickly engaged, but the enormous crowd was an obstacle to get to the ronin, who in an instant took a litter as their barricade, clashing swords with their attackers. Screams and commotion, crying and desperation ensued in a stampede of people trying to get out of the way of the violent Crab samurai. It was not easy to state what was happening in the eye of hurricane, but all seemed to converge to where the group of ronin was.

posting as: YAZUKI NOZOMILiving is trouble, Dragon-san... Nozomi said, with a half smile. Suddenly, like a wave roaring behind them, the crowd started to run, scream and defend themselves from the rude passage of the Crab cavalry. It was so sudden that she couldn't imagine the reason, but an attack to the litter of the "dummy bride". She started to unsheath her sword, but she was violently pushed aside by a desperate mother with a baby in her back, running from the side of the road ... that's... I can hurt someone... she realized. With horror she saw a horseman ruthlessly cut the head of a clumsy peddler trying to manage his cart of food, to get him out of his way, meters away. Everything seemed to happen in slow motion, but see knew it wasn't. I must... live for my clan... she stammered. Please, she said to Te. Help me to get into the castle...!

Kousei's first thought was 'diversion', but he was closing in on the group of ronin when the uproar ensued so he decided he may as well get involved anyway. The crowd were pushing against him in their panic and he struggled to stay on his feet, but it wasn't much further and he crouched low and pushed.
Suddenly he burst out into the middle of a furious combat as the guards and the ronin clashed around the litter. Blades flashed everywhere and Kousei had to duck and roll in order to avoid being sliced in two. He leapt back to his feet with a shout, smashing the pommel of his still sheathed katana into the nose of a ronin in front of him before whipping his elbow back across the unfortunate man's jaw.
"You three, fall back and control the crowd," he shouted at one group of guards, "And you - find some archers and get them on that roof!" The Crab looked slightly non-plussed at a Crane shouting orders at them and after a brief hesitation decided to ignore him. Kousei swore, drew his blade, and charged the nearest ronin who was attempting to slip through a gap to the litter.

Kneeling down once again Te encircles the young woman with one large arm. He moves his black staff to that same hand and places his other on the ground. "I'm going to regret this" he mutters as the tremors start to shake the ground spreading out from him. Lifting her easily in his arm he starts to run in the direction she indicates trying to avoid those now laying on the ground.

The ronin tried to parry the precise strike Kousei performed, but he wasn't a match for the skill of the Daidoji Shireikan. The Crane's sword slid and cut his arm longitudinally to the bone, from hand to elbow, and his sword fell useless. We're.. innocent, you goddamm bastard! Monsters!!! Can't recognize samurai from goblins anymore?!! Screams, swearings and a loud chaos made of blood and clashes of sword. The ronin were few now, massacred by the force of Crab guard. But they fought. They're innocent!!! They did nothing! It was a recurring cry, muffled by other sounds. Soon it was muted, as the panic won over reason, and as the Crab guards tried to save their own honor by saving the stray bride of a Wind, and their obstacles were the people and a bunch of ronin.

posting as: Yasuki NozomiI... Everything started to shake but then she was in the safety of the Togashi's grip, and the world moved around, blood and sky and people and swords. Not without difficult, avoiding the ones coming from the castle or the ones going to the castle, the monk made it. She wasn't used to true goodness. When they reached the lateral gate, Nozomi was happy to have finally gotten in the safety of the castle. She smiled, tapping the giant monk's shoulder so he could let her go... And they're surrounded by Crab spearmen.

Several Shiba entered the balcony, some were bloodied, all had bloodied swords and naginatas. They quickly surrounded Chisato, protectively as the karo wailed at someone, anyone, to stop all of this brutality.
Chisato was escorted deeper inside the palace, speechless.

Innocent? What was going on here? In the chaos of battle Kousei had assumed that the ronin were attacking the litter, but if they were protesting otherwise...?
Regardless, Kousei switched to a defensive stance and concentrating on avoiding any incoming attacks. He looked for one of the few remaining ronin who was desperately trying to defend himself against a couple of the Crab guards.
"HE'S MINE!" the Daidoji bellowed, and the two Crab fell back instinctively. Kousei barrelled into the ronin, knocking his blade in the air and moving into a grapple. While they strained against each other, he whispered urgently "Tell me how this started and I will try and save your life!"

What the f... Satomi heard the crowd roar, and not out of merriment. She was about to gain access to the chamber where the Champion and the Shogun were, along the Emerald Champion, Kaneka and other prominent figures, to alert Reiha about Nozomi's disappearance, when she turned on her heels and headed outside.
From the privileged view at the top of the cliff, the general saw the absurd and twisted development of her command: panicked crowd being pushed towards the cliffs, with no escape route, what seemed a massacre of both revolted peasants and ronin alike, in the middle of the road, and a point of convergence surrounded by cavalry and a cloud of dust. It was impossible to see in detail what was happening there, from where she was. That's not what she commanded, for sure.
Her men attended when she showed up outside:
General-sama, it seems...
Are they crazy or what?!!! Bunch of idiots!!! Get to their gunso and make them stop now! NOW! Tomorrow will be their seppuku day!
They followed her orders in a rush.
Anyway, she snapped her fingers and her kabuto was given to her, and she was tying it under her chin while running to the gates. No matter what, if Nozomi was in this tumult, her life was in great danger. She prayed for the best, but would not be a witness; she would engage in seeking Kaneka's bride.
Satomi arrived at the gate when Nozomi was being delivered by her savior, a Dragon monk. Though not entirely clear to everyone else why Yasuki Nozomi was in the arms of the Togashi man, Satomi bellowed: Attention! Open ranks!
The soldiers immediately obeyed, taking two steps back from the monk and his precious burden.
Satomi scanned the giant and Nozomi, but the Yasuki's face, though showing her apprehension, also displayed trust in her new friend. Nozomi was sort of pulled out from Kurizumon's arms, and in a blink was gone from his view to the safety of a guarded room. She tried to protest but at the current conjuncture, her words were ignored.
DISMISSED! Once again, the unit obeyed, and the Kaiu general came closer.
Satomi eyed again the newcomer, obviously a savior.
Togashi-san, I presume... We can't thank you enough.
Wasn't this one the man she saw earlier around the castle's courtyard?
OOC: Guys, my actual knowledge of military terms are flawed at best. Please, be lenient with my pathetic attempts (alternatively, PM me).

It wasn't a place or time for elaborated conversations, but the bloodied ronin spat the words: I don't know! I don't know! We... Came here for Lady Otomo Nihume.! She said... she would intervene in our favor! We got attacked first! Maybe the Crane never saw such a mix of embitterment and despair in a samurai. He believed in his own words, that's a fact, and tried to escape from the grapple. The veteran ronin turned his head after hearing an horrible final scream, and pushed Kousei back, yet more enraged: My brother, they killed my little brother...! The man, now barely armed, simply "berserked", finding his final seconds later in the spear of a Crab cavalryman. Horagai, menuki and orders to halt the attack sounded in the background, but maybe it was too late for the ronin band and for the honor of the Crab cavalry. A stone reached the Daidoji's back. If he turned his head, a trembling peasant, pure hatred in his expression, was defiantly gripping stones and sticks, as did others. They surrounded a small group of Crab guards, the very ones who engaged heavily against the ronin. The populace started to throw stones at the cavalry and the guards, out of revolt for the unnecessary display of power. Some others yet, as many Crab heimin, were armed with their rustic peasant weapons, and engaged in revenge for the innocent ones. The violence restarted, this time as an act of riot. A nikutai pushed Kousei off, willingly or not, to a hasty retreat, out of compassion. If the Crab official stayed surrounded by the revolted and armed Crab populace a bit more, what could happen next?

Releasing his charge, Te drops to his knees and places his hands on the ground in front of him. "Have I hurt them" he asks. Getting no immediate reply his broad shoulders start to shake as he bellows out his question again "Have I hurt the defenseless?" Hearing someone reply that no, he had not, his shoulders slump. "Who was the horseman then? I want him before me. He took the life of a merchant who was just too slow. The man has no honor, and I want him." Te's red stained hands clench into fists as he starts to rise.
